Last week, I asked you guys for your opinions regarding that one thing that you think will make TMA a better place. There were a total of thirteen votes, which was understandable, since the blog was still fairly new. But now, due to the SCO's viralness and presence in the Internet, I hope the votes will drastically increase. :D
Results after the jump!
Winning with five votes (38%) is "student managed clubs". Just to clarify, these clubs will still be for approval for Miss Cristy if ever you decide to propose one. And student managed means student funded, which means you shouldn't rely on the school for paper, etc. And Miss Cristy hasn't really approved the idea yet (since we haven't brought it to her yet), but since it won the polls, I will raise the idea on this Friday's meeting.
Clean CRs came next, with three votes (23%). We all know why we need this. However, we aren't saying that we will put scented soap in the bathrooms, and put candles and floral tissues or whatever. If ever this thing will push through, we will stick with the basics, like hooks for the cubicle doors, maybe Safeguard for the sinks, pictures and signages on the walls, and mats. And if ever we have extra, maybe a mirror for the female CR in the second floor? ;)
Tied with the above mentioned choice was "fun and interesting fund raisers", with three votes (23%). And yes. We need this. All the other programs won't happen if we don't have no dough. And of course, we will try to make the fund raisers fun-filled too, like, say, a concert featuring the talents of our students (*cough* Ian Kasai)? Please just pray that Miss Cristy will approve of these. :)
Last in the choices (well not really, but we'll get to that later) is "cool, interesting books for the library", with one pathetic vote (15%). I kinda feel bad about this. I mean, don't you guys like reading? And we can't really borrow books in the library, 'coz they mainly consist of children's books (Sweet Valley? Seriously?) and books with torn covers (there's this book with torn pages too. Sad.). What about, say, the Percy Jackson series? Or Jim Benton's Dear Dumb Diary series? Can't we even get a complete set of The Chronicles Of Narnia? Or how about bestsellers in the New York Times, like Kim Edwards' The Memory Keeper's Daughter, or Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist? Or how about modern classics like The Little Prince, The Catcher In The Rye, and Of Mice And Men? We need books like these to foster an interest in reading in our minds. So yeah. If you have books like these that you don't really want anymore, please donate them. :D
There was this other choice that had absolutely NO votes at all, which is "more plants around the school". Don't you guys find nature pretty and beautiful? :)
Well, those are last week's results. Don't forget to vote for this week's poll! And now, goodnight. :D
P.S. Watch Teen Choice Awards tomorrow. Lea Michele and Corey Monteith (of Glee fame) are hosting it! :))
